IMG_3147“Tea” yes please, the first conversation of each morning in the Heterarchy office, I will put my hand up that I have cost them a year’s wages in sugar & teabags…….. I’m sure our bosses Rosemarie & Tony will have a lot more money when Jenni and I have left.
But the tea isn’t the only thing I am going to miss about working at Heterarchy, I have enjoyed every second I have worked here. I have gained so much experience and knowledge in all aspects of the business and the design trade whilst working at Heterarchy, from working on designs for a variety of clients in the office to going out on jobs a personally doing the work we have designed, and when I say we, I mean Rosemarie, Jenni & I (I think Tony’s a little scared of getting his hands dirty.)
I first applied for the Heterarchy placement after researching the company and really admiring the projects they had been involved in, it was exactly what I wanted to do so I was very eager to make a good impression in both my personality and work. After sending my CV in I was pleased I was called back for an interview which Rosemarie made very relaxing for me, and was surprised but so content that I got the job. When I initially entered the building I was amazed with the design and ideas that had gone into the property there wasn’t one thing I didn’t like, a perfectly designed & thought out interior and an entrance that made a statement, which Jenni and I have now put our stamp on (tiling the front yard), and I must say myself we have done a brilliant job for first time floor tiling.
From the first day I started work at Heterarchy I have felt very comfortable with my colleagues presenting my work and ideas to them, the office is a great atmosphere which brings out the best of our ideas. Getting a new office kitten (Lola) made it even better, as you can imagine with a kitten, there is never a dull moment, (apart from her annoying the peaceful cat Phoebe). As they say time flies when you’re having fun and that’s exactly what’s happened to this placement, I can’t believe it’s over so quickly and really don’t want to leave, I would recommend their business to anybody because of their skills, hard work and design abilities, Jenni & I are so grateful to Rosemarie and Tony for all they have taught us, we have gained so many skills for our futures and can’t thank them enough for everything. We will miss you both very much
